Alchemy: Reality Fracture Is Here, and This Is a Good Week to Experiment

Alchemy: Reality Fracture has arrived on MTG Arena with 31 digital-only cards and a Jace-centered spellbook. For me, its real appeal is not only the new cards. It is the invitation to test ideas while the format is still unsettled.

The first few days of a release are especially useful for trying a rough list, keeping notes after each match, and changing one or two slots at a time. I would start with a familiar shell, then make room for the new mechanics or a spellbook payoff that genuinely supports its game plan. A small experiment is easier to evaluate than rebuilding everything at once.

There are several ways to jump in this week. The Reality Fracture Contender Draft runs through November 9, while All Alchemy Deck Duels runs October 15 to 17. If drafting is more my style, the limited-time Alchemy: Reality Fracture Bot Draft follows on October 18 and 19. These short windows make the current conversation feel fast-moving, which is exactly why I think it is worth playing a few games before the early ideas become established.

At Koi Fish Cards, I use new-release weeks as a reminder that a collection is more useful when it helps me test, compare, and refine. I am excited to see which Reality Fracture experiments earn a lasting place in Alchemy.
