Standard Lizard Aggro: Small Creatures, Steady Damage

I’ve been looking at Standard Lizard Aggro, a black and red deck that turns small creatures into a steady source of damage. Wizards recently included a Lizard Aggro list in its MTG Arena Champion Deck selection, making it a useful starting point for anyone curious about the strategy.

Hired Claw helps the deck get started. Whenever you attack with one or more Lizards, it deals one damage to an opponent. That early life loss also helps Gev, Scaled Scorch make other creatures more threatening with +1/+1 counters.

What I like about this deck is how its pieces work together: a small attack can set up a stronger creature later in the turn. If you enjoy aggressive decks with creature synergies, Lizards are worth a look.
